I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2012
Interview
Relatively easy. The hiring manager requested contacts, they contacted the names given, asked them about you, then called you in for a group interview. From there, they asked the group of interviewees questions relating teamwork and observed how well we got along with each other. After the interview, we were given additional information of what to expect for the next step in the process (i.e. training).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mainly asked questions which invoked how well of a team player you are.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
