I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Myrtle Beach, SC) in Jul 2013
Interview
It was a group interview, so there were about 5 girls total being interviewed at the same time by one person. Some girls were dressed very casual while others were dressed up really nice. I think that the way we dressed had an impact on the interviewer for sure. Overall the interview was very quick, everyone got asked different questions but you also had the opportunity to add to someone else's answer. They were looking for an outgoing happy person that would make their customers feel welcomed. With our answers she was able to determine if we would be approachable.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
