I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Liverpool, England) in Mar 2018
Interview
Applied on Indeed and within a week I had an email that my application was successful so I was invited to an ‘assessment centre’ which was basically a group interview in the back of the shop. The interview went really well, there was only 4 of us altogether but I feel as though I definitely stood out from the others - I put myself forward for answering questions and was confident throughout. When the interview was over we were told we would get a call back by the beginning of the week (the interview was on a Tuesday so they told us to expect a call by the following Monday) I waited until the Wednesday to call back and let them know that I’d had an interview and they told me to email them for feedback without telling me if I was successful or not. They couldn’t wait for the phone call to be over either. So I did email asking for feedback and 2 weeks later I haven’t had any feedback or a phone call about my application. I finally called back after 3 weeks and they EVENTUALLY told me that I ‘probably’ haven’t been successful and to email for feedback, I told them I’d emailed over a week ago and I’m still waiting for this ‘feedback’’. They couldn’t care less. Especially after mentioning during the interview that they were a ‘feedback based company’ so even if we were unsuccessful we would hear something back. Absolutely ridiculous application process I have no idea what they are looking for and they’re too scared to tell you if you’re successful or not.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time where you have received criticism by a manager and what did you do to fix it?
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
