Senior Manager, Global Sales Strategy & Acceleration Interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2022

      Interview

If the interview process at Visa was any indicator of company culture, RUN! I was approached by the hiring manager on LI, and heavily pursued for this role. I was asked to rearrange my schedule multiple times to accommodate their desire to move me through the process quickly, almost to the point of inconvenience. I spoke with the recruiter as a 2nd step after having already met with the hiring manager, and after l spoke with her for the 1st and only time l never heard from her again. I reached out asking what to expect in my next interviews, what the overall process would look like, etc., and crickets. I never heard back from this person ever again. I also received blind calendar invites for interviews that did not work with my schedule, and when l asked to have them to be moved l never got a response back. After rearranging my schedule yet again to have two additional interviews, over two weeks went by as l heard nothing in response to my candidacy from either the hiring manager or the recruiter post-interviews. Almost three weeks after my last interview l received an automated response stating that they had decided to go with a different candidate. I can take rejection like the best of them, but what l have no tolerance for is the poor treatment of people. Have some respect & courtesy to keep me updated throughout the overall process. Treat me like a valued candidate, especially when you approach me. And have the decency to contact me yourself to let me know l would not be moving to the final round, and provide me with tangible feedback. The overall process was awful, and they obviously do not respect candidates as people, or for their time. Don't waste your time with this dinosaur of a company, in every sense of the word!
