      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (Foster City, CA) in Jun 2010

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter for a position she said I applied for, which I didn't, I applied for a different one within the same department. However, I continued the discussion with her because I thought it was still a great opportunity. We spoke for a few minutes to schedule a more formal phone interview. I didn't receive an email confirmation for the phone interview. We had a great 30 minute phone interview as planned. I was asked all of the basic questions: strengths, weaknesses, career plans, why I'm looking, etc. I was offered an in person meeting. I received an email confirmation with the names and titles of 3 people I would meet with, and was sent a revised interview schedule with 5 people I had to meet with. It also included detailed directions on how to get to the company and what to do when I got there. I met with all of the scheduled people from the team who offered their perspectives of the company and the job, which was very helpful in understanding their current and future environment. The office looked new and updated, but I heard the other buildings still had older furnishings since they just started to remodel their offices. Everyone seemed so nice and easy to work with. They were very enthusiastic about the position and the company, which made it really exciting. I left the interview feeling like it was a promising opportunity. I waited for a follow-up and received one almost 2 weeks later and was told they were still interviewing candidates but wanted to ensure that I was still interested in the position because they still wanted me in the running. I have not heard from then since and it has been almost 3 weeks.
