An overall straightforward process, however communication with their recruitment team led to an abysmal experience. I was able to easily schedule a phone screen with a recruiter but at the time of the screen, I did not receive a call. I emailed the recruiter letting them know I was awaiting their call but able to reschedule to another time if they were currently busy. I received an email response immediately apologizing that they were busy and that we could indeed reschedule. The recruiter eventually had me phone screen with another member of the HR team which was a lovely conversation. After two more interviews with VHL I was then told I would interview with the original recruiter who had missed my first phone screen. The first time the recruiter missed the phone screen I was able to excuse it since I understand how busy a work day can get, but the same thing happened again. I scheduled a time with the recruiter, and again the date/time came and the recruiter was a no-show. No email no communication whatsoever informing me that they were unable to make our call. I received a call two hours later from the recruiter (when I was no longer available) and then an email from them informing me that they tried to reach out but I didn't pick up. There was no acknowledgment that they had missed our scheduled time. Again, I understand being in a busy environment, but to be a recruiter and miss your interviews without even a single acknowledgment that you were at fault was extremely discouraging to see. VHL seems like a good company but be weary of the interview process and lack of communication or follow through from the recruitment team.
