Interview
You walk in to interview with manager and tech lead in lrage conference room. There is no tour of work environment or meeting coworkers. They tell you what you will be doing but you have no idea of what your in for until your first day. Everything is third rate from the desks where you work to the chairs in which you sit. They give you a very rudimentary setup to begin work. They say they'll train you but they don't everything... and I mean everything is hit or miss there. It is simply a miracle that they are in business as long as they are.

Question 1
What was your most challenging experience in IT?
What was your most difficult situation?, etc.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Volt Information Sciences (Little Rock, AR) in Jan 2025
Interview
This was the first initial phone call.
From the moment we said "hello," I could tell he was ready to get off the call. The only question he asked me was what my current role/situation is. He never asked anything else. Next, he quickly and unenthusiastically stated the job details.. Since this was my first call, and this was a staffing agency, I couldn't do research on the company I would be working for because it was not listed. This left me with many questions. It seemed like with every question- he became more annoyed. He never asked any IT related questions to challenge my knowledge and not a thing about what I do and don't like about my current employer. I'm pretty sure they knew they would be hiring someone else, but he probably was following procedure and had to make a certain amount of calls.
I knew I was not going to get a second interview, although he did have the decency to email and let me know they had "chosen another candidate."
"Duh!"
I want to say rude things about him, but I'm just hoping he was having a bad day his other calls are more professional than the one I endured.
