The entire interview process felt like a scam and, was one of the worst interview experiences I’ve had in my career. After reaching out to me, the recruiter asked if I could come in to meet with the manager. This recruiter was polite over the phone and on her messages, stated that my experience was “exactly what the manager was looking for.” In person, the hiring manager was rude and condescending - she spent most of the “interview” not paying to attention to anything I said. At the end, she spent a full five minutes almost berating me - telling me that I didn’t have enough experience for the role and that they were looking for someone more senior than what the recruiter had told me. I wouldn’t have come in at all if the recruiter had been honest about what the company was looking for. Really felt like a bait and switch. To top it off, the recruiter came out and gaslit me after the interview - even though she had reached out to me about the role. This was for one of Volt’s internal roles.
