I applied online. I interviewed at Von Maur (Eden Prairie, MN) in Mar 2012
Interview
The people appear very professional. I did a phone interview, followed by a in person interview. From my experience and others as long as you appear to be a "yes" person in the interview you will get the job. They ask you typical questions about times you had a success at a previous job and times you had a struggle. They also will try to lead you into a negative direction with past jobs. If they ask what are some things you struggle with I say "I'm a perfectionist, or that I'm obsessed with being on time even if it means speeding to work.

Question 1
I didn't find any of the questions to be any different from any other interview I've had. I always prepare my looking at most asked questions on-line so I'm prepared. I also always have some of my own questions ready to ask.
Had 2 interview over the phone and 2 in person. The ones in person it was a pre set of typical interview questions. All interviewer wore very nice and made me feel very comfortable. If you have retail experience is nothing that will surprise you when it comes to the question that they ask.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Von Maur (Louisville, KY) in Jan 2017
Interview
I received a phone call the day after applying for the position online. They conducted a phone interview at that time. I then interviewed in person with the department manager. I was called back a week later to interview with the store manager. I then had to have a phone interview with the cosmetics line I was applying to. It took about a month from the first phone call to the call offering me the position.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Von Maur (Wichita, KS) in Aug 2016
Interview
It was extensive and redundant, very detailed and specific. I first had a 10 minute phone interview, that proceeded a few days later with a 30 min in person interview, that followed a few days later with another in person interview with a different manager for 30 min as well, and also the same series of questions in a different fashion, then followed immediately by a 30 min online personality quiz. A couple days later I heard from the Administrative Executive who which I 'passed the test' for, followed again by a confirmation from the first person I interviewed with in person, and THEN another short 15-20 minute follow up/confirmation of the requirments, policies, and training schedule.
