Interview
I put in an application in the late afternoon and got a phone call the next day. The employer asked if I had time to talk and I told him yes. Unexpectedly was given a phone interview right there and then. I was on the phone for about 20 mins. At the end of the call, he asked me when would be a good time for me to come in for an in person interview. The second interview was with the first floor manager. I am not sure if it was because she was tired of all the interviews (since they're hiring for the opening of a new store) or because she just had a robot like personality but she was pretty emotionless and didn't seem engaged with what I was saying but more busy writing it all down.

Question 1
Name a specific time where you went above and beyond. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Had 2 interview over the phone and 2 in person. The ones in person it was a pre set of typical interview questions. All interviewer wore very nice and made me feel very comfortable. If you have retail experience is nothing that will surprise you when it comes to the question that they ask.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Von Maur (Louisville, KY) in Jan 2017
Interview
I received a phone call the day after applying for the position online. They conducted a phone interview at that time. I then interviewed in person with the department manager. I was called back a week later to interview with the store manager. I then had to have a phone interview with the cosmetics line I was applying to. It took about a month from the first phone call to the call offering me the position.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Von Maur (Wichita, KS) in Aug 2016
Interview
It was extensive and redundant, very detailed and specific. I first had a 10 minute phone interview, that proceeded a few days later with a 30 min in person interview, that followed a few days later with another in person interview with a different manager for 30 min as well, and also the same series of questions in a different fashion, then followed immediately by a 30 min online personality quiz. A couple days later I heard from the Administrative Executive who which I 'passed the test' for, followed again by a confirmation from the first person I interviewed with in person, and THEN another short 15-20 minute follow up/confirmation of the requirments, policies, and training schedule.
