I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Von Maur (Glenview, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
They originally begin with what seems like an optional phone interview. They ask you are you free to talk? Then interview you in store with someone who will not be your manager. Then interview you with your manager and the floor manager. They make you read the job description after some breef questions and make sure you "know what you're in for".

Question 1
They ask you text book questions. Like how would you handle this scenario? What can you work on? What is your strength? What is your weakness? They ask have you been in sales? Details about sale. They talk a lot about themselves and the store. They really "make sure you know what you're in for". They talk about holiday hours and if you're ok working 6 or 7 days in a row.
I went through two interviews and was at the store for almost 2 hours. Was pretty painless but took forever. Store manager was rather nice but definitely didn’t describe the job well
You are asked standard interview questions with experience based questions. There are two rounds of interviews and then after passing those you will have to provide professional references. After that has been passed you will receive an offer or not.
