I was initially interview via phone and asked some basic questions about my experience, salary requirements, gaps in employment, etc. I told them my min. requirement was $14 an hour which if it were problem one would think they would not have scheduled an interview with me. I met for my official interview with HR. She was very polite, she asked some basic questions about my experience, what I liked best, how I handled difficult customers. She barely looked at me while she wrote notes . . . a lot of notes. I'm a note taker but I think eye contact is important during an interview. Also, what was really disappointing was the fact that they job was actually $11.5-$12 an hour. Sure they include benefits but if you don't meet goals you are outta there in 90 days. I read about this happening to another poster here from the West Coast. Also, I wore what I thought was an appropriate retail interview outfit consisting of a blouse, black skirt, black sweater and tall black boots (no heels, riding style). I had read about their conservative take on dress code as they want all ladies to wear closed toed shoes, hosiery but no boots! I really don't have the money to go out and buy new shoes for a job that pays so little. Because of this interview I also missed out on working and making $.
