I applied online. I interviewed at Von Maur (Dunwoody, GA)
Interview
Lady I interviewed with laughed at me throughout the whole interview. Didn’t even ask me any questions about who I was as a person either which made me realize that they don’t care. Lady told me that my experience was “irrevelant” to the role even tho I had plenty of experience in customer service (I had a role in sales too) because they “didn’t know where to place me because I didn’t had direct experience in selling shoes (as an example)”. Very confused on why exactly I need to have direct experience in selling shoes in order to work in shoes. If that’s what they were looking for, then why did they bother giving me an interview? Waste of my time. The place was beautiful, management was not. The employees on the floor were nicer than her. Also I saw a girl working at the customer service desk all alone, poor thing. This place has a lot of red flags. Avoid if you can.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to work with an employee or a boss that was difficult.
Interview is simple, took about 30 minutes. Questions about past experiences and some hypothetical scenarios. You read a copy of the job description, and fill out a form for availability.
It was nice, quick and easy, it starts with initial phone interview asking basic questions followed with an in-person interview with the store manager. They’ll get more of a feel for what department you’ll be placed in this interview.
