To be clear this is a real company with a real website. If you call the company phone number someone will answer. But there is a SCAM involving this company's name. They find your resume or information on a job board website and then send you an email offering to interview concerning a position. The interview is conducted through Microsoft Teams and pays really well. They send you a link to the actual company's website where you won't see a job listed. And send you a Word document of a job description. They interview on the spot and offer you the job in the next 24 hours. The questions sound relevant to the position being offered. They are very upfront about the pay to draw you in. They say the company doesn't have your remote equipment ready and will send you a check to buy equipment via email. I became suspicious at this offering because I never discussed when I was able to start working. I did a quick google search and came across a complaint webpage of people scammed out of thousands of dollars. The check they emailed me was for $3000 but didn't have a bank's information. I blocked the number and then called the real company in New Jersey and they said that this is happening frequently. Be very cautious because this almost sounded legit until the sudden start and then asking for you to buy a $3000 laptop. This is not to muddy the real company's name but to bring awareness to the scam at large.
