Disorganized hiring process and poor communication
I had an initial recruiter call and was told an interview would be scheduled. After that, there were long gaps in communication (several weeks). Despite multiple follow-ups, no interview was scheduled. I later received a generic update saying the team was “still conducting interviews” and expecting to make a decision soon, which was confusing since I had not interviewed.
In a separate intern interview interaction, the conversation felt rushed and lacked engagement, which made it difficult to have a meaningful technical discussion.
Overall, the process felt uncoordinated and lacked clear ownership, with inconsistent follow-through after the initial screen. It made it difficult to plan other opportunities.
Suggestion: set clear timelines after the initial screen, confirm interview scheduling promptly, and provide accurate status updates to candidates who haven’t yet interviewed. More engaged interview conversations would also improve the candidate experience.
