Was explicitly told I had a position with the company prior to any interview process, should have been a red flag. Had to endure about a month and a half of run around from the hiring human, it was confusing to say the least. Was told to take a skills assessment test and that there was no wrong answers and the hiring human said that if I didn't know an answer that was ok. It involved some high-level troubleshooting come to find out, as I was trying to begin a career in IT/tech support I did not know about 15-20% of the answers. Upon completion it took another couple days to get ahold of said human, at which time she proceeded to speak down to me and ridicule me on the basis that I could not answer every single question. Despite her saying initially that it wasn't expected that I know every answer. Fast forward another few weeks and multiple calls/messages and emails and the hiring human informed me that I was not selected.... finally. This hiring human was pretty much condescending from the start and would have saved us both much time and effort by being upfront about my eligibility. In the end I am beyond pleased I did not get an offer as they seem too "cool" for my tastes. Seemed highly "clique-ish" My advice: Don't string someone along for an extended period of time when you know early on that you don't want that person working there.
