Recruiter reached out to me based upon information on my Linkedin profile. That was not quiet a match due to some specific qualifications they were looking for. But they listened to my experience and put me in touch with another recruiter for another position (the one this is referencing now). That recruiter explained what they were looking for, as a few questions to help flush out the details of my resume. Then I assume I passed the initial potential test and they contacted me back to set up a 30-minute interview with the department manager. That one occurred and I felt they were looking for some specific experience that I felt I did not have enough of at the present time. I heard back the next day from the recruiter and she shared with me I was not a fit for them right now and there would not be further interviews with this position for me. But it seems we mutually will consider each other as additional new opportunities open up in the future. There would have been two more rounds if I had moved on. A one-on-one with the department manager in a casual area (say like for coffee) and then potentially a 2-3 hour in house in front of various team members. I appreciated the time to meet with them and look forward in talking to them again if another opportunity did develop in the future.
