I applied online. I interviewed at WTW in Feb 2026
Interview
There were three stages: an initial online application, followed by a Hirevue recorded interview and gamified assessment. The final stage was invitiation to a virtual assessment centre. The virtual assessment centre was split into three parts; a 'networking' session where we got to meet and ask current grads questions, a competency interview [1 hour] and a technical interview [about 45-50 min].
The competency interview was very lengthy and although questions weren't difficult, felt unnecessarily tedious with the amount of questions asked.
Technical interview was split into three parts; first had to answer questions about a dataset, then a probability maths question. For the final part was shown many graphs of performance of ML models and was asked to interpret/explain each one.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to deal with conflicting priorities or changing requirements in a project
Tell me about a time when you took on a leadership role.
Tell me about a time when you learnt a new skill, and how you went about this.
Tell me about a time when you worked in a team to solve a problem
positive and smooth. had 3 parts technical, motivational, competency. technical required no coding and the rest were the basic motivational and competency questions based on the interviewer. overall a reasonable experience

Question 1
similar to hirevue questions e.g. describe a time you went out of your way to achieve something
Great interview process with good feedback. This is aside from the slight hiccup at the star,t which included an introductory call where the participants kept muting the speakers. The main interview was very engaging and actually tested my skills as a data scientist rather than just general soft skills.
