I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walgreens
Interview
Multiple rounds with senior managers, the director, and the recruiter to assess fit. These happened over the course of a few days. Then a one day interview in their regional office with multiple teams (over skype) to further assess fit. Finished with a very easy data analysis exercise.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens in Dec 2021
Interview
Honestly the worst interview process of my life. First the phone screen was bizarre to say the least. At one point I thought I might have been speaking to a robot, thats how monotonous this person was. Also, the questions were literally yes/no questions that they could have answered had they even bothered to look at my resume. Then they asked me what my salary expectations were, mind you before this they said that they could not share the exact salary with me. So I gave them my range and he said that "unfortunately we can not offer you that as the salary for this position is in the range of $xx,xxx - $xx,xxx." At this point I had to stifle a laugh. You can't tell me the salary upfront, but if I tell you a number too high only then can you share the range? Ridiculous.
Surprisingly I got an email for another interview. What followed was 2 sets of 2-3 hour interviews with people I wouldn't even be working with day-to-day. The only person that was consistent over the 6 interviews I had was the hiring manager, and she couldn't even remember what she asked me the last time we spoke. Repeated previously asked questions and just really offered very little insights into the position. In the end I was rejected in the final round for reasons unknown.
Overall, no one seemed to have any idea why they were talking to me or what the process was. Walgreens corporate is a joke. Please don't waste your time.
