      Customer Success Interview

      Anonymous employee

      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WalkMe

      Interview

Hiring process was fair and gave a good overview of what to expect, the pros, cons, who you would be working with, what you would be measured on, company values and culture. The team was thoughtful about the process and wanted to make sure I was just as impressed with the company as they were with me. They also sent me a box filled with welcoming notes, a hoodie, sunglasses and t-shirt when I accepted the job. Very good experience!

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WalkMe in Nov 2017

      Interview

I sent my CV, I got a phone call. It was a short call, the recruiter explained about the position, and asked me about my skills. At the time I was on vacation in another country and I stated it, and that I will be returning in a month. Then I was sent a PDF with 3 home tasks, to be sent back max 72 hours later. I had to download their editor and sign up- I was warned that processing the registration could take up to 12 hours of my time to answer. The test included building a Walk-Thru, a test for autodidact skills, and a customer complaint which I had to solve and answer. A few days later she called back to invite me for an interview to be held the same week, and when I explained again that I'm out of the country and can't come back so soon she said she didn't know about it (yet I said it and wrote it in our email correspondence). Since I couldn't be in time for the interview and there was no option for a skype interview my candidacy was irrelevant. I wish I knew that before putting hours of work into the test.

      Interview

This is a turn around story. If you would of asked me a week ago, I would of said nothing but bad things. But the reason my review is positive is because how above and beyond the senior leadership went to correct their mistake. I had an interview for a Customer Success role that went poorly. From my vantage point, some interviews were shortened, some interviewers did not know a lot about my background, and to put it simply, I was pissed. Afterwards, I let the recruiter know. And this is where the story changed- and I think its a direct reflection on the senior management, founder and Director of Talent. The CEO/founder emailed and then called me to discuss what had happened, and the Director of Talent emailed/ called me and went, piece by piece, what had happened. As it turns out, one of the scheduled interviewers was on a delayed flight, so they had to scramble last second to put together a replacement interview team. I was not aware of this, but it made sense once it was explained. The Director of Talent traded emails with me for days going over any follow up questions I had and always replied quickly and thoroughly. My call with her was very nice as well. Having senior people go out of their way to address and correct a problem is rare, especially in the tech space in SF. WalkMe did exactly this, and as a result, I was incredibly impressed with the company and their senior management team.
