I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Austin, TX)
Interview
First, a recruiter screen, then a zoom call with the hiring manager. The recruiter screen was not conversational and was her robotically reading the job description and asking if I had the qualification. I withdrew my application after the video screen with the hiring manager because there were way too many red flags.
One, the job description was wrong—when I got to the interview I was told I wouldn't be designing even though this was a design role. The hiring manager also didn't appear to be paying attention to me during the interview, continuously interrupting me and asking questions then interrupting my responses. By contrast with the recruiter call, there was absolutely no structure to the interview, and I was asked to "do what I want" at the beginning making me feel like they weren't prepared to meet with me (even though we'd had the meeting set for a week and I know they had seen my Linkedin). The hiring manager also spoke ill of his current team, which I found to be unprofessional.
Interviews consisted of a one on one half-hour discussion style interview followed by an hour long interview with a timed presentation and Q&A opportunities with a panel of about five men, mostly directors.
Straightforward 2 interview process. One was with a director and another was with a director and a principle designer. The first director grilled me about metrics while the second interview was a lot more laid back, giving you space to discuss your case study and processes.

Question 1
How did you obtain the metrics in your final results?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart in Nov 2024
Interview
Very nice interview, no tricky questions, just normal “get to know you” questions like talk about you, what are your salary expectations. The interviewer was very nice and friendly, I felt comfortable. It was a good experience overall
