Walmart uses Karat a 3rd party interview service for their software developer interviews.
Aside from Amazon asking questions that don't pertain to the job I would be doing, this was the worse interview experience.
It was someone off shore that wasn't a Swift developer.
The instructions were vague and confusing leading to frustration by the end of the interview.
After 5 minutes of verifying and writing down in pseudo code, the requirements of the function I was to write, there was still a requirement that the interviewer didn't go over. Typically I would look back and ask how did I misinterpret this, but I double checked that all the requirements were understood before beginning to write the function.
Super frustrating, on top of all the coding challenge issues like being in an IDE that isn't like what you would be working in (no AI use, no intellisense)
The problem is, if they had communicated everything well and had it well typed out or even talked about by someone that speaks English, it would have been easier to understand.
