I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walmart
Interview
Interview process involved a hiring manager chat and a detailed portfolio walkthrough. Good conversations overall, but expect inconsistent follow-up—recruiter communication tends to disappear after the final round. In the portfolio presentation round, one of the team member asked me to talk about how I did my research synthesis

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Walmart in Sep 2023
Interview
Applied directly from the website, and was reached out by recruiter almost 2 months later. 1st: Recruiter call- short and simple, just a regular recruiter call
2nd: hiring manager - go through background and behavior questions regarding the role
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Newark, NJ) in May 2023
Interview
I was initially contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn about available roles. I said yes and was formally submitted for a role. Two initial calls were okay. Good call with hiring manager and then a portfolio review soon after with a large audience in attendance. It then took FOUR WEEKS to hear ANYTHING back from Walmart. Multiple emails to the hiring manager and his manager with follow-up questions were ignored. Multiple emails to the internal recruiter were ignored. It should not take FOUR WEEKS to reply to a candidate you interviewed. A truly horribly flawed, unprofessional experience steeped in incompetence. If this experience is any indication of how product is designed and built inside Walmart, run far away. This is my first and last time ever considering working at this organization.
