I️ was contacted by a recruiter for a Disney Professional Internship. I️ was asked to respond to questions in the email that asked the following things:
-Do you have access to a car?
-Are you available 40 hours a week September-December?
-Why do you want to work for Disney? Why do you want to work for television?
-What’s your best asset?
After answering these questions in July, I️ was contacted on and off to make sure I️ was still interested in the internship. It took a while to get an interview. In October, I️ was contacted by phone by a recruiter asking if I️ wanted to interview in person. The following week, I️ came in for a 40 min interview where I️ went through my resume with two interviewers. We talked about extracurriculars in college and hobbies etc in addition to my work experience. I️ do not have a lot of experience so they really are looking for positive people that are passionate about the content rather than who has more experience is what I️ learned after they offered I️t to me. I️ was offered the internship the day after my interview!
I️ would suggest reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn and other platforms to get their attention.
