I was initially contacted for a lower position but was told by the recruiter that I was overqualified for the position and that she wanted to consider me for this role. After a few months I was contacted about this role and was told that the manager was very interested. The interviewer was a Director. Most of the interview was about the challenges they are facing with the merger and that the role was very data oriented. Overall I thought I left a great impression but apparently I lack analytical skills despite being in Compensation for six plus years.
