Wayfair HTML Css Developer interview questions

Had a phone interview a few months back. Pretty standard, a few simple CSS questions. I was not invited for an in-person interview but they said to reach out again in a few months after building up my portfolio a bit. Received another message recently from a senior recruiter on LinkedIn regarding open opportunities and an interest in scheduling another phone interview with me, but when I responded they said they hadn't realized I had already applied and that my skillset was unfortunately still not a match for them. I found this pretty unprofessional and disappointing.
