      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA)

      Interview

Panel interview with several managers; afterward, the managers collectively decided whether to hire and for what team. The meeting took about 90 minutes overall. The interviewers did not appear to have a fixed plan; they each yielded to each other when they ran out of things to say.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me how to solve several hypothetical problems.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Wayfair in Aug 2020

      Interview

Phone call to review my resume and experience. They didn't read my resume. Apparently a Principal Software Engineer is an Enterprise Architect that does not write code and is the director of a division. They also have a very very large number of engineers, which is very suspicious (sounds like a sweatshop), but for what they do is very inefficient.

They asked me about my resume. They could have read it.
