I applied through a friend for Senior Software engineer position, the interviews started with a regular recruiter interview, followed by a standard coding screening video interview and finally followed by an onsite one consisting of 5 round of interviews :
1- Recruiter catch up: nothing really here.
2- Platform coding: Live coding challenge with a focus on using.
3- System Design interview: wasn't a design interview, it was more of a "Design a feature" interview, it was fun.
4- Behaviroal interview: One of the managers in the dept conducts it and digs deep into work situations.
5- Manager interview: Trying to be as aggressive as possible, maybe it was his way of testing the performance under pressure, to be honest, I wasn't expecting this at all and could have done better in this round, it was also apparent that lack of chemistry between me and the potential manager.
Interviews were ok, though I wasn't asked almost anything of technical background that I would have used in real life (except for system design interview and tech screening).
What is very frustrating and is a shame to have in a company like this, is not to get proper feedback of what went wrong and can be improved, though of being promised to.
The recruiter ignores the emails, he might find this funny or consider me as noise, but I invested time and effort, and it is totally ok to not be a match at this point in time, as a return of investment and as in any respectable company you are supposed to provide proper feedback.
The total investment time was not less than 8 hours of interviews in addition to many more to prepare for them, I am never getting back this time, which is only ok If I am getting something back in return (e.g. feedback), The treatment by the recruiter was very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful.
