On campus info session in fall, resume drop around holidays. First round interview on campus (top MBA program): 2 interviews - one behavioral, one case. Second round interview onside in Boston: interviewed with around 20 other candidates from other top MBA programs. Three interviews - two cases, one behavioral. Received offer. Cases are similar to consulting cases, with a little more structure - they provide you with a few sheets with graphs / charts / data on them and ask a series of sequential questions on what you see, identifying problems / issues, possible solutions, metrics to determine which solutions to follow through with. Cases require you to do actual math, but they let you use pen and paper and encourage you to do so. One case allowed a calculator. Most cases don't let you estimate - I was asked to calculate exact numbers. I messed up some numbers and got stuck on a few cases, but asked clarifying questions and some tips from interviewers. Still received offer. I think its more your attitude and approach to the cases versus getting the right answer by yourself. Enjoyed the process and people I met with, just happened to receive a competing offer I was more interested in.
