I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Oct 2019
Interview
Wayfair came to my school so I attended the information session and then applied online. I had a first-round video case interview. I was offered a final in-person interview. The original date of my interview was pushed back a month and then happened to fall during final exams. I rescheduled all of my exams in order to fly to Boston. A week before my interview a person that I had not talked to during the process called to tell me that the position is now filled/changed/cancelled. This was my way of getting home from school so I had to find other plans at the last minute. The way they went about this cancelation was very unprofessional and offered little to no help afterwards.
The interviewer was very warm and friendly though the criterion validity of the initial interview seems very questionable. The initial interview was a business case study with very little relevance to the position I applied for. Other than solving the quantitative equations, very little was discussed about myself or my experience relevant to the position. The interview was neither easy nor hard but I did not anticipate a strategic business case study for a talent acquisition role.
