The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Wayfair (Jacksonville, FL)
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for a regional HR manager position. The recruiter was very warm and friendly and we had a nice conversation about the role. I was also referred to the position by a previous co-worker.
The next step in the process was to interview with the hiring manager who seemed nice on the phone, but I noticed the interview was a bit abrupt. He only asked me a few questions and seem to rush through the conversation. By the next day, I had received a rejection email from the recruiter who initially reached out.
I tried to follow up to find out how I could improve or what ultimately led them to select someone else and got absolutely no response. I do realize that the talent pool is very competitive. The companies I admire most are the ones who actually do take the time to explain to you why they selected someone else. While this isn’t an easy conversation, it is just common courtesy. I would give Wayfair a “D”on the grading scale
