Lecture on the state of affairs within and around the city of Detroit, along with a brief history of Michigan and how it ruled the world 100 years ago. Word.
Application was through job portal and then, the interview was setup through skype.
The interview is conducted after the lab PI has zeroed in on few candidates. In my case, I believe I was the only candidate interviewed. If they really need you then they will speed up the hiring process.

As my visa was going to expire at that time, so I just took phone interview talk about background, research paper. The interview last about one hour in very friendly atmosphere. There was no difficult questions at all. The supervisor was very familiar with my work, and as interested in it, and seems very satisfied with my work, and gave offer immediately.
