First call with HR that was great and introduces you to the job and allows for questions to be answered about the role. Next a hacker rank 1.5 hour technical that tells the candidate all they need to know about what it would be like working at this company. This company is looking to hire a dilettante not an engineer. The test is filled with trick questions, trivia, and code challenges where the test cases are hidden. Candidates with broad knowledge of trivia and a high attention towards syntax, academic (at best) puzzle solving skills and knowledge of language features rarely used are preferred. This process is filtering out anyone with deep expertise or specialized skills. Don't waste your time with this company. I wouldn't be surprise if this is also used to openly discriminate against candidates the company doesn't want to hire. I guess they want to filter out qualified candidates and did so with me.

What is the difference between string[,], and string[][]? What else does a webhook allow for? What cache option allows to share same state information for authenticated users? What can be used instead of values types to allow guard clauses?
The first call was a fairly standard 30 minute conversation with a technical recruiter, talking about the specifics of the job, tech stack, team information, etc. They asked some typical programming questions to gauge competency, and then went over next steps.
Second was a custom HackerRank test with 16 questions, most of which were multiple choice or open ended, and a few coding challenges.

It took them 4 months to respond to my application. I had long forgotten about this company. When they finally responded they had the incorrect job title and asked questions geared towards an entry-level candidate. This is despite over a decade of experience listed on my resume and despite the position I applied for being a senior role. It turns out that the recruiter initially mixed up the job descriptions/roles for this interview.
During the call they asked questions like 'What is SOLID and can you name what one of the letters stands for?' 'What are the four pillars of object oriented programming'?
In total they required around 4-5 technical + behavioral interviews lasting around 5-6 hours. Their range was low and it seemed like asking for $130k was pushing it. This interview felt like a waste of time and the company treating their candidates with a lack of respect. I declined any further interviews after the initial call.
Overall I feel like the interviewer asked okay questions, but the level of effort they want out of candidates does not respect their time or skill level.

First round was 30 minute call with a recruiter which started off with the normal "why are you looking" "here's more about the company" then turned into a technical Q&A "Whats the difference between an interface and an Abstract class. What does each of the letters SOLID mean?"
After completing that second round is a 70 minute take home assessment consisting with 8 questions and 1 bonus question. The first part is a multiple choice of the nuance details that dont matter of SOLID. And some Dependency Injection question about singleton, transient, and scoped.
The next questions are coding with an emphasis on LINQ and SQL. SQL queries were simple "select , from where and order by "
LINQ questions were easy as well. Find the most, least, average priced car in the list of objects. given the same list, find the most expensive car by name and return a dictionary in the correct order. All tests have unit hidden tests so if they don't pass, it seems like they don't even look at the code to see how close you were. 70 minutes is cutting it close with time, especially with the bonus. Which i did, and it didnt matter so dont waste your time there.
Feedback was "I do not meet the requirements of a mid-level senior engineer" with no other feedback. Their architect simply provides a pass or fail on the assessment and thats it.
Given other interview reviews here, this sounds like it was a good thing. They are looking for a senior engineer who still has their GPA on their resume. Which is strange because they are providing an on prep solution for restaurants and the only person who you talk to leading to the take home assessment. Doesnt even know how it gets deployed..
I wouldn't recommend working for a company who treats candidates as a disposable commodity. They put in 30 minutes and you have to put in 70. And all they say is pass or fail. Imagine what its like once you in the door
