Interview
Most bizarre phone screen for a part time position in the produce department. Wanted to know my long term goals, how long I planned on staying with the company. Asked what my preferences were with regards to be client facing vs behind the scenes or working independently vs as a team. When I expressed my indifference to either option and stated I had experience in all those scenarios. The recruiter pressured me to specify a preference then give a reason as to why that was my preference and then still proceeded to ask about the option I didn’t choose and what I liked most or least about that option. Overall just a very strange that I was forced into answering these questions as opposed to actually asking me about my work history, experience, education and how those things could contribute to the company. Know whether I prefer working alone vs in a team or customer facing vs behind the scenes doesn’t really gauge my ability to do the job. For context i have a degree and over 7 years experience in retail and client facing roles. I’m pretty certain I have the skillset to stock produce part time.

Easy two weeks long, applied online, phone screening, one in person interview with managers and staff. Great people, nice culture and quick process. Would definitely recommend and practice typical behavioral questions.

Tell me about a time you handled a group conflict?
Was a super easy process, called me and had a brief conversation to schedule in person, in person was just a tour and conversation and then offered job on spot
