I applied online. I interviewed at Wendy's (Grosse Pointe Farms, MI) in Mar 2023
Interview
I applied online to the Grosse Pointe Farms, MI store located on Mack Ave. I called the day before to confirm my interview because it was set on a Sunday. I didn’t speak to the hiring manager, but was told she’d be in. I got there about 20 minutes before my interview and asked for the hiring manager Lakenya Snipes. The cashier told me she’d be right out. I sat down in the lobby and the manager came out about 10 minutes later but did not acknowledge me. I assume the cashier forgot to tell her because there were customers in the store. I finally approached the manager and let her know I was there for an interview. She asked me to wait, and I figured she’d be right with me. Instead, she proceeded to start a team meeting. I waited 30 minutes after my interview time and left. Waiting is not an issue, but if someone is taking time out of their day to interview you could at least let them know it’ll be a while before you’re available, and they can make the decision to stay or attempt to reschedule. I know I’m the one asking for a job, but I feel like human courtesy would encourage you to value my time. I couldn’t imagine I’d be offered a position if I showed up late and didn’t call in advance.
Easy and prepare for behavioural questions. Also about your previous experience in food industry. I was asked about the availability too if you drive and how soon can you start working
Easy process to interview with wendys. Worked there throughout high school and college. Great company to work for. Would be a good first job for any kids looking to make some extra money.

Interview
Short, straight to the point, only asked about my location, hour and day preference, and the one major request was to not bring drama into the workplace. Asked about previous experience as well.
