Question 1
How would you go about building your portfolio of clients?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at WestPac Wealth Partners (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Had a phone interview to get to know WestPac (mostly behavioral and informational) then met with the recruiter and a leading advisor at the company. Overall it was a medium grade interview (harder behavioral questions) seriously liked the CEO and the atmosphere he creates. The employees there are hard working and driven to deliver on their services and the process to get there. Passionate, honest, and straight forward I liked the company and the culture. If you are looking to be a financial advisor this is the place to be!
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at WestPac Wealth Partners in May 2019
Interview
Bait and switch. I interviewed for a financial advisor where I was met with info about the company and how perfect I would be for it. Once I moved on in the process, it became apparent that it was for insurance sales. Wasn't clear about the job, and what I needed to do to get it. You have to sell a certain amount before they pay you a cent and you have to pay a lot to just get started. I had to pay for my license exams and buy a Microsoft Surface right away with the idea that I would be paid back later (once I sold enough). Because I'm from a modest background, this was not easy at all and I had to walk away for fear of not being able to pay my rent. If you are poor, walk away now!!!

Question 1
You need a Microsoft Surface to do this job, do you have one?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WestPac Wealth Partners (Lake Oswego, OR) in Jun 2018
Interview
It was pretty straightforward. I started by doing an informational phone call/interview with one of the recruiters, and then met one-on-one with one of the people working there. After that, I met with in person again with A couple people for a more in-depth interview and information about the position. They were looking more for a personality fit rather than a knowledge fit.
