I applied online and with the application I had to answer a few short "puzzles." They weren't necessarily difficult but I think it's just a way to weed out candidates. Like other reviewers, about a day later I got called in for an "appointment" - not an interview, an appointment. When I arrived, I had to go to a small room and and answer questions to more puzzles. I think there were about 10 questions. The questions aren't hard if you think about them, they just take time (took me about 45 minuets). When I was finished I had to wait about 10 more minuets and one of the HR people came out and took me back to discuss my answers. We went through them one by one and I had to explain how I got the answer and then there were a few general questions about my experience, education, etc. They said if I didn't hear back by the end of the next week, I would no longer be considered, however, I did get a call back a week after their "deadline" so apparently this isn't true. I wasn't sure if this was the company for me from the beginning. When walking through the office the people looked MISERABLE and its definitely the land of cubicles - very old school. The next interview was with the team leader and her boss. This was the most soul-draining experience I've had interviewing. They were incredibly dull and instead of asking interview questions and discussing my skills in relation to the position, they combed through each of my positions and wanted to know what my supervisors would say about me. The "boss" who I believe is the CFO was the rudest person I have ever interviewed with. Between clicking his pen, rolling his eyes and discrediting my experience and education, I knew this was NOT the company for me. The icing on the cake was when I asked the next steps to the interview process and what the timeline was for a decision, he stands up and says "TIMELINE? There is no timeline. When we fill the position we fill the position!" Ok then...just a simple question that literally every interviewee will most likely ask. All in all, the interview wasn't necessarily difficult but pay attention to the energy in the office and the level of arrogance. It's a shame someone in a leadership level treats interview candidates in that manner - I would hate to actually work around someone like that day in and day out. No wonder the people in that office seemed so miserable!
