I had a face to face interview with the hiring manager and a process engineer for a chemical process engineer role at the Springfield site in the UK. The interview was about 1 hour and was based largely around competency based questions. It was very straightforward and didn't really test knowledge of the role. Staff were friendly and the process was quick. Nevertheless, I received no feedback or decision after my interview and when I contacted HR for a response (4 weeks after I was told I would get a response, 6 weeks after the interview), I essentially got an automated response stating "sorry you have been unsuccessful". I'm fine with the decision, but the lack of effort and respect in providing me with a response after I took time and effort to prepare and attend, is very upsetting.
