My interview experience with HR was awful. I was reached out to by a recruiter to schedule an interview and secured a time 1 week in advance of the date of the phone screen. The morning of the interview I got a reminder to "kindly attend without fail." After dialing into the interview and sitting there for 10 minutes alone, I sent an email to the recruiter and recieved an OOO reply stating that they were on PTO all week. Pardon me? Why was I allowed to schedule this interview if you weren't available during the time slot I selected? Why did no one reach out to me to change the date and time of the interview that was scheduled a week in advance? Nevertheless, the following week I had the shortest phone screen I've ever had conducted by an incredibly uninterested recruiter. Ended the conversation before even allowing me the opportunity to ask questions. If I hadn't decided before, I decided then, this was not the company for me. One month later the same recruiter reached out to me to schedule a phone screen for the same position, as if the interaction we had 1 month prior didn't happen. From a candidate perspective, this was one of the worst experiences I've had in my 15+ years of professional experience. Please treat candidates better. I would've loved to provide this feedback through an automated candidate survey but since I never received one, Glassdoor will have to do.
