I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner (Baltimore, MD) in Oct 2015
Interview
1st round interview was on my university's campus with alum I met before so was very informal and relaxed for me interview consisted of three, 1-on-1, 15-minute interviews.
Was flown out (all expenses paid) to the HQ in MD for the 2nd round. Interview lasted from 8-4ish, consisting of three, 1-on-1, 45 minute interviews, a lunch and a job site tour (also got to hang and talk to people who worked in trailer on site). Was a great experience overall and I really like the company.
Received an offer over the phone the next week, and received letter later that week, but still deciding so haven't accepted yet.

Question 1
Why Construction? A time when you solved a difficult problem? What do you do on your free time? Just questions to get to know you. Nothing hard.
I applied online. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner (Woodbury, NY) in Jan 2026
Interview
Was contacted 2 years after applying. It was a 4 hours interview process. Firstly, the VP gave us a presentation on the company's history, their service, and portfolio of their work. Then they conducted 1:1 interview with 3 employees at various levels. The interviews were very casual and aimed at a conversations type of interview. Alot of behavioral types of questions involving your experience. Some of the question they asked were repeats of the other interviewers, which made the later interviews stale and repetitive. Alot of young workers, which made it easier to connect with. Then they offered lunch at the break room, where you talk with other candidates and employees. Lastly, the VP gave the last presentation on benefits.

Smooth overall. Group interview with a PE and two PM's. Asked a little bit about my experience. Mostly explained what they did as a company. Everyone was very relaxed and it was an upbeat environment.
