I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Nashville, TN) in Oct 2007
Interview
Everything is initially done online with the application, they don't even have paper ones, which is good for the environment. After they looked over my application they called me and set up an interview. Mine was 1:1 with the store team leader, but usually they're done with the team leader. I also think they usually do a panel interview, but since the location was new they had no one to be on the panel.
After you're hired, you're on a probationary period for 30-90 days; at the end of the period the other Team Members vote on whether or not to keep you there. So make fast friends with your other Team Members.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How did you deal with frustrating or difficult customers/co-workers at your previous job?
Very simple, basic questions and received the job the next day. They asked me questions regarding company culture and my previous experience working with customer facing positions. I had two people interviewing me.
Very kind interviewer, short interview process with only one interview required. I was hired very quickly which was nice. I interviewer with the manager who was very welcoming and gave me the chance to ask any questions I had about the company as well.

Interview
Very short and straight to the point. Friendly people doing the interviews. Felt great and didn’t get nervous. They tell you the expectations on the spot to see if it’s actually something you’d like to continue with.
