Interview process included initial phone interview with the hiring manager and review of the critical project objectives. I was asked to interview a number of impacted stakeholders in the organization and come up with a plan of action on how to execute the solution to the issue. Was told that I was competing with one other, internal candidate for the job. The second and final interview was a "team" review with all of the stakeholders whom I had interviewed to understand the issues. Was turned down for the role because I did not have retail grocer experience, according to the hiring manager. But I was never asked in the interview about how I would address this issue. Nor was I asked anything about the proposal I prepared to solve the issue. In the end, they did not hire either of the candidates for the job.
