The entire interview process took roughly 6 weeks from the first contact email received by the recruiter. However it was made clear to me that the interview process would be a lengthy one from beginning to end. The first conversation I held with HR mentioned it could take anywhere between 6-8 weeks so I was prepared for that timeframe. Phase 1: Recruiter emailed me within 24 hrs of applying stating they received my resume and they would like to schedule a 30min phone conversation, to speak more about some available positions. ( I applied to several that I qualified for.) During the phone conversation the recruiter asked basic personality/professional questions and described Wisk’s mission and culture. Was a very easy going and pleasant phone call. I was informed I would be speaking to the hiring manager after our chat. Phase 2: Scheduled a virtual meeting 3 days after speaking with HR with the hiring manager. Meeting was roughly 30-40 mins, was asked some more personally and mild technical questions that the role would consist of. A majority of the conversation was based on how I would approach certain projects and what I did in my previous roles to get me to where I am today. The hiring manager was very easy going and it felt more like a conversation instead of an interrogation. (Based off this conversation with upper management, I was thoroughly impressed by the culture and professionalism - I instantly knew I would be thrilled to work here if offered a position.) Phase 3: Shortly after the 1st meeting with the hiring manager I was sent an email explaining I would be moved forward to the panel interview. -The panel interview requires quite a bit of effort, you are required to prepare a PowerPoint presentation that essentially highlights your professional background and 2 relevant projects in detail (skip the basics) that are similar to the role you are applying for *30mins where you take the stage and speak to a team of experienced professionals (6-7 individuals) Phase 4: The panel interview was broken down into sections all taken place over google meet. Introductions by all individuals in the meeting, 30 min self presentation, followed by 30 min individual 1:1 meetings with 5-6 team members that you’ll be working closely with some from various departments others from your own, lastly circle back and speak to the hiring manager again. It’s a long day however every interaction held was very friendly and felt much like a conversation. (Don’t worry, you are given breaks!) There will be technical questions and hypothetical scenarios, in my opinion I enjoyed the challenge and felt more like brainstorming. It’s highly noticed that they care very much about culture, (GREEN FLAG) a lot of questions asked were personality based to see how you’d react in stressful situations working closely with several teams. Phase 4: Was contacted via email by HR a few days after the panel interview that the team debriefed, and would like to more into offer phase! (:
