First, a phone interview with the recruiter, then a video interview with the supervisor.I had an extremely disappointing interview experience with this company. From start to finish, I felt completely disrespected by both the recruiter and the hiring manager.
First, both individuals were significantly late to the interviews. The recruiter, after arriving late, proceeded to ask questions in a robotic manner with no engagement or interaction, making the conversation feel like a mere data collection process rather than an actual discussion.
The hiring manager was even more unprofessional. Despite agreeing on a time, they requested a last-minute reschedule the day before. When the interview finally took place, they showed up late, had not even glanced at my resume, and were visibly surprised when I discussed my relevant experience. To make matters worse, they were distracted the entire time, multitasking while asking questions.
According to the recruiter, they are looking for interns who can immediately contribute without any support, and they have no intention of offering return offers. They also admitted that despite being around for six years, they still consider themselves a startup with limited funds—hence, the need to hire interns.
Overall, this was one of the most unprofessional interview experiences I've ever had. If you value your time and professional growth, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
