Had a phone screen, completed a project (& received great feedback), did a video interview (hiring manager was in the UK), & met w/ 2 folks onsite. I was told by the hiring manager that he liked my work & thought I’d be great for the role but that the other employees scored me low for culture fit, and that he couldn’t see notes. To me, this indicates a toxic hiring practice. If employees can’t clarify what a “low culture fit score” indicates, it reflects very poorly. After this interview process, my opinion of the company dropped substantially. It’s clear that Wistia has a lot of work to do internally.
