I applied to Wistia online after seeing their posting on a job board. I heard back six days later for an initial interview. Once I heard back from Wistia and had my first conversation with the recruiter the entire process took about four days. After the first phone conversation, I had three more Zoom interviews with managers, current employees, and team leads. The interview process included a writing exercise and a timed case study. Throughout the whole process, the hiring manager kept in touch with me and I had a clear sense of expectations about what was asked of me. Everyone I spoke to during my interview process, from the first phone screen to the head of the department, was friendly, kind, and informative . I heard back in a very timely manner after every stage of the process and I never felt like my time was being wasted or was worried about being ghosted like I had at different startups.
