I interviewed for the Talent Acquisition Partner position at Woodward and, although I was ultimately not selected, I appreciated the opportunity to engage with the team and learn more about the company. The interview process was well-organized, and the communication from the team was timely and professional throughout.
However, one aspect that could be improved is the balance between the interviewers' questions and the time allocated for the candidate to ask their own. The hiring team asked a total of 12 STAR-based questions in 3 hours, which felt like a rapid-fire approach, but I was only given the chance to ask three of my own. Having more time for candidates to ask questions would provide a better opportunity to understand the role, team dynamics, and company culture. This could help foster a more two-sided conversation, which is beneficial for both the interviewer and the candidate.
Overall, while the outcome wasn't what I had hoped for (declined email notification), I appreciate the professionalism of the Woodward team and the opportunity to go through the interview process. I hope this feedback can help refine the candidate experience moving forward.
