The interview process was arranged out of the US on email between two Talent Managers for a Product Management Director role in Copenhagen. - 1st Interview was a chemistry interview arranged on Zoom with a Product Manager in Copenhagen. - 2nd Interview was around delivery processes with the Head of Product Management in the US. - 3rd Interview was with the Managing Director of the Copenhagen office and two other senior designers. In the third interview you're given 1hr to read through a client brief and come back online to present workable solutions. The case was for Nordstrom (a US company not present in Europe) who wanted to rebrand their website, improve the in-store booking experience and gain some “quick wins”. It was made clear that there is not have enough time to answer properly and this exercise is to "see how I think”. I returned an hour later with a phased project plan, a redesign of the booking process and “quick win” digital ideas to improve the overall in store experience. At the end of the presentation the Managing Director said the work was excellent, thanked me and that HR would be in touch with next steps. I shared the deck. Over week later HR sent me an email stating my skills were not what they were looking for. No other feedback given. Job description changes online the week after. For other candidates, beware the black box.
