I neve write reviews about companies, merchants or whoever, but I have to make an exception for Workvivo for my grotesque candidate experience.
After being contacted by Workvivo for a position I didn't apply for, I started the interview process. Days after a first video interview, I received an email stating rejection. Four days later, another email followed explaining there was a communication error, that my profile was still of interest and the company wanted me to proceed with the interview process.
After a successful technical interview, I was communicated to have been successful and invited to be assessed at a panel interview at the HQ in Cork ( I am based in Dublin), so I purchased a train ticket and prepared for the day. I was flabbergasted when I received a phone call at 8:30am on the day of the interview, when I was already at the train station, communicating they had to cancel the interview scheduled for 2pm because they were busy with customers calls.
After receiving an email proposing a potential ticket reimbursement, when I was about to return home, I received another apologetic call stating there was as a mix up and that the interview would take place. Despite the total mistrust, having already cancelled plans to be in Cork on the day, I decided to give it a try and go.
The interview happened to be eventually a ridicolous staging to make it up for the incredible situation where I'd effectively been cancelled on the day. The person of interest to assess me left the room after 5 minutes to take a phone call, with myself repeating myself to the other person in the room who'd previously interviewed me over Zoom
It all turned into an unbelievable waste of time, money, and above all absolutely lack of respect towards a candidate who had to commute a total of 5 hours for this, to be rejected the following day with no clear or comprehensive feedback provided.
