I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at X (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
Interview with team members with team leader making the decision. My interviews were mainly on the phone but there was a video interview where I had to answer questions while being recorded by my laptop camera for the team to review later.
This space was new to me and I was impressed that they spoke to me about my skill set and didn't care that I had zero rolodex/contacts for them to start.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your style? Tell me about the tools you use? Tell me what you would do if you need to fill a role for a team/group you've never worked with?
Interviewers were all very professional, and respectful during the process. Questions asked were mostly on experience and behavioural ones. Even though I didn't receive an offer, the process was managed well and we kept in touch for future opportunities.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at X
Interview
First call was with a recruiter, the second with a HR manager. Questions were straightforward & they asked about my experience and why I was interested in the job. I was expecting more complex questions but it was very surface level for both rounds. The recruiter was really nice and helpful throughout the process.
Interviewers ask good questions to understand skill set and ability, they were also respectful of candidate's time. Everybody was friendly and open to answering any questions I had. Questions were pretty striaghtforward, mostly behavioural and skill set related. This was before the company name changed to X.
